Our Vision

The object or goal of Love Looks Like This is to serve the foster community. Our main focus is the aging out population of foster care. We want to be able to provide things for that demographic so that they have a better chance at life. More than 23,000 kids age out of foster care each year (Finally Family Homes).

Our goal is to take those kids and help change their lives one person at a `time. We want to set up a crisis hotline where they can call us at any time about any need or emergency. When a kid ages out of the system, they are alone and have to figure out life. For most of those kids they haven’t had a consistent lifestyle moving from home to home.

The crisis hotline would give someone to call when something doesn’t go as planned (Emergency wise).

We want to offer case management and person-centered planning for each teen. The purpose of case management is to guide the adults through the transition period of aging out. Through the case management we want to provide therapy, support, and guidance. We would want to connect with the Texas Workforce Commission. That way we would be able to help them get jobs and set them up the best way possible.
